CCTV cameras to be installed around police stations

RAWALPINDI - City Police Officer (CPO) Azhar Hameed Khokar said that CCTV cameras would be installed at important places in the jurisdiction of every police station to check the crime.
Chairing a monthly crime meeting which was held at Police Line no.1 here on Thursday. Besides, Superintendent of Police (SSP) operations, Divisional Superintendent of Police, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Station House Officer (SHO) and the other officials attended the meeting.
Addressing on the occasion, CPO emphasized that patrolling system would be made more effective to eliminate crime from the society.
He directed that all available resources would be utilized to arrest the hardened criminals.
He directed to arrest the Top 10 and Top 20 proclaimed offenders and submit the report on daily basis. He said that negligence will not be tolerated at any cost.
He said that a meeting would be held with the Mosque committees and to ensure the security of mosques by deputing private security guards.
He further directed to take action against wall chalking. He also directed Rescue 15 to play its role for the elimination of crime and to help the grieved people in time of need.
