RPP case: SC says no one bother about wastage of national wealth

The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday said only 100 megawatts electricity was being generated despite billions of rupees were paid to Rental Power Projects (RPPs). A division bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing the suo motu case on Rental Power Policy (RPPS). The CJ said that nobody was bother about national wealth as it was being wasted. Supreme Court will not tolerate wasting national wealth, the CJ remarked. The CJ reiterated government had no policy regarding RPPS. He said that the court would not spare those misappropriated the money.
