Car lifted from New Katarian; woman deprived of money




RAWALPINDI - A woman was deprived of cash, gold ornaments, mobile phone and other valuables by two armed bike riders while auto-theft gang pilfered a car from different localities of the city on Monday.Police have been investigating the cases after filing first information reports (FIR) with no arrest or recovery so far.According to details, a lady namely Sehrish of Saddar appeared before Police Station (PS) Banni officials and lodged a complaint that she arrived to buy food in a market opposite Naz Cinema on Benazir Bhutto Road (BBR) with her family. She added that she was embarking her car after buying food when all of a sudden two robbers riding on bike appeared and pointed gun over her. Later, they snatched her purse containing Rs 35,000 cash, mobile phone, gold ornaments and other valuables. On the other hand, unknown car lifters had taken away a Corolla XLI car from New Katarian, the limits of PS New Town. A citizen Ghulam Mustafa son of Ghulam Hassan told PS New Town officials that he parked his white colored Toyota Corolla Xli car (RLE-3007) outside his house located on Main Chnugi Road in New Katarian. Later, some unidentified intruders had stolen his car. He asked police to lodge a case against the robbers. Police took up a case and started investigation with no recovery so far.
