ISLAMABAD – Keeping alive its rich and historic tradition of all-round academic excellence, Roots Millennium Schools’ flagship millennium campus, I-9/3, organised a prolific silver jubilee celebration of Roots Schools for completing 25 glorious years and also decorated students with medals in recognition of Ivy League University placements, Cambridge University acceptance, Global Undergraduate scholarships, summer school placements and High Achiever Award Ceremony thus recognizing its Students’ and Teachers’.The graceful and ecstatic ceremony was attended by nearly 500 scholarship recipients and their families, earning a net 4-year scholarship to a staggering Rs 1.4 billion this academic year only, says a press release issued here on Monday. Turkish Ambassador Mustafa Babur Hizlan was the chief guest on this occasion. To keep alive the rich legacy of Roots Millennium Schools, this year’s High achiever ceremony was organised to recognise the achievements of all O-Levels, IGCSE, AS & A-Level, BSc University of London International Program students. Total 18 students from RMS Islamabad secured CIE Outstanding learner awards and Edexcel distinctions in various subjects with Usama Bin Shafqat being the star of the show with 5 distinctions in Mathematics (without coursework), Additional Mathematics, Information and Communication Technology and Physics. Syeda Shanze Gillani topped in entire Pakistan in Biology, Ali Mumtaz Warraich topped in Pakistan in Business Studies whereas Abdullah Nasir topped in all of Pakistan in Chemistry. Ali Amin and Hiba Nasir topped in Accounting and Economics in all of Islamabad. Zawar Hussain topped in Urdu Language in all of Pakistan and Maham Khan stood first in Islamabad in English Literature. Faran Farooq acquired joint third place across three Cambridge Advanced Subsidiary Level courses. Abdullah Nasir topped in Islamabad and Pakistan and acquired first place across seven Cambridge IGCSEs. Maaz Ahmed Khan acquired second place in Islamabad across Six Cambridge IGCSE’s whereas Safyan Aman Memon and Tuba Majid acquired joint third place in Islamabad across Six Cambridge IGCSE’s. Xarlish Amjad topped in the entire region in A Level Edexcel Law and Zona Ali topped in Edexcel A level Law in entire Pakistan.
