Khursheed set to give govt input on NISP

ISLAMABAD - Leader of Opposition in the NA, Syed Khursheed Shah, is set to give his input in writing to the government on National Internal Security Policy (NISP), ostensibly to quash Ch Nisar’s allegation that former commented on the draft without giving a single look.
Shah has decided to give his detailed input in writing on ‘secret and strategic’ portion of 100-page draft on NISP by the next week, PPP sources shared with The Nation.
Although the much-awaited draft on NISP was thoroughly discussed by almost all the lawmakers on the floor of the house, yet opposition leader is giving his in writing input to counter the claims of Interior Minister Ch Nisar.
Nisar had alleged that the opposition leader commented on the draft without reading the contents of the policy, as Shah had made a brief comment on the policy when it was laid on the floor of the House.
Sources said that opposition leader in his in input would raise questions on the execution of the draft. About secret potion of the policy, sources said the opposition could ask the government to take it into confidence about this portion of the draft.
When contacted, spokesman of opposition leader Waqar Gilani confirmed that Khursheed Shah would give his in writing input to the government next week. “Shah would give detail suggestion in writing,” he added.
A large number of legislators from opposition parties had already expressed suspicions on the implementation of the draft in coming years. Pointing out some flaws in the draft, they had also proposed to call a joint session of the Parliament to discuss the newly introduced policy in length.
 Whereas, Nisar had reportedly defending the criticism had assured to execute it as soon as possible.
