Calligraphic work showcased at RAC

ISLAMABAD - More than 50 art pieces of different artists were put on display in calligraphic exhibition, Thursday at Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC). General Manger Operation, Safari Club Rashid Malik along with Naheed Manzoor and Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed inaugurated the exhibition.The work of Elahi Bux Mattee, Khwaja Muhammad Hussain, Imran Tahir, Ashraf Heera, Abdul Rehman Tabani, Nadeem Shiekh, Younis Roomi and Azeem Iqbal was showcased at the exhibition.
The art pieces were comprising different writing styles. After inaugural ceremony, Rashid Malik said the work of artists is rich with texture, style, color combination and material.
He said  “Traditions of Islamic Calligraphy are old and our calligraphers are guardians of these traditions”.
Naheed Manzoor said all the artists are perfect in their work and their work is eligible for international level.
Waqar Ahmed said RAC is playing its pivotal role to promote artists. The exhibition will continue till November 18.
