Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader and prominent lawyer Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan will represent Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in the Supreme Court in contempt of court proceeding, sources said on Tuesday. Prime Minister Gilani will appear before a seven-member bench of the Supreme Court on January 19 to face a contempt notice on the issue of re-opening of cases under the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO). Gilani announced his decision to appear before the court in his address to the National Assembly on Monday. Party heads of the allied parties will accompany him to the Court.
