ISLAMABAD - Islamabad City Police arrested 442 persons and recovered huge cache of weapons during the year 2008 including three kalashnikov, 31 rifles, 29 guns, 346 pistols, 12 carbines, 11 revolvers, 23 magazines, 24 daggers and 4146 rounds from them, the police spokesman said on Sunday. According to details, Aabpara police arrested 10 accused and recovered 06 pistols, two magazines, six daggers and 23 rounds while Kohsar police arrested 12 accused and recovered 12 pistols, 14 magazines and 89 rounds. Margallah police arrested eight accused and recovered 01 kalashnikov, 12 pistols, four daggers and 365 rounds. Shalimar police arrested 23 accused and recovered three riffles, five guns, 13 pistols, one dagger and 180 rounds. Koral police arrested 41 accused and recovered one kalashnikov, two riffles, 35 pistols, one revolver, one carbine and 218 rounds. Shehzad Town police arrested 53 accused and recovered 01 kalashnikov one riffle, 47 pistols, two revolvers, two carbines and 248 rounds. Industrial Area police arrested 19 accused and recovered 19 pistols, three daggers and 86 rounds. Sabzi Mandi police arrested 73 accused and recovered 03 riffles, two guns, 53 pistols, seven revolvers, three carbines, six daggers and 4,325 rounds. Tarnol police arrested 42 accused and recovered 10 riffles 01 gun, and 36 pistols.1309 rounds and 01 carbine. Golra police arrested 36 accused and recovered two riffles and 02 guns, 24 pistols, 03 carbines and 165 rounds, including two daggers. Secretariat police arrested 12 accused and recovered 11 pistols, 01 carbine and 154 rounds. Bhara Kahu police arrested 42 accused and recovered 04 riffles 02 guns 29 pistols, one revolver 01 carbine and 339 rounds. Nilor police arrested 30 accused and recovered one rifle two guns 29 pistols one revolver one carbine and 339 rounds while Sihala police arrested 41 accused and recovered five riffles 11 guns 31 pistols and 270 rounds, including a dagger.
