ISLAMABAD - Chairman Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan while demanding holding of All Parties Conference (APC) questioned the present government to answer the nation regarding further progress in the negotiations with Taliban.
During a press conference at his residence here on Friday, Imran said that the last APC had mandated the incumbent government to proceed further for negotiations with Taliban and maintain peace in the troubled areas.
Imran further claimed that the resignation of former Chairman NADRA Tariq Malik was a result of pressure on him as the present government did not want to verify the finger prints and he quoted the judgment of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) that the former chairman NADRA was pressured to resign.
Khan further said that PTI requests the Supreme Court to take the suo moto action in this regard as the apex court is the only ray of hope.
He regretted that the Election Commission and other Tribunals had disappointed them regarding their cases pending (Election Petitions) about poll rigging in the Election Tribunals.
Imran said that if the PTI is given the opportunity to handle power generation and distribution, it would reduce the line losses and provide cheaper electricity to the nation.
Answering a question, Khan said that the KPK government has no mandate to negotiate with Taliban and he quoted that the Interior Minister in his statement had termed that the dialogue with Taliban was droned by the US.
