Police recovers boy kidnapped for ransom

RAWALPINDI-The police has recovered a four year old boy as well as a jeweler kidnapped for ransom and arrested the culprits from the locality of Muslim Town. The City Police Office (CPO) Rawalpindi Roa Muhammad Iqbal disclosed this during a press conference at CIA Office here on Thursday. He told the journalists about the first case of kidnapping that a four year minor Hamza was kidnapped by some close relatives from Khurram Colony, Muslim Town. Later the kidnappers demanded Rs1.5 million from the grandfather of the child. The case was registered on 10th July in Sadiqabad Police Station. On which CPO constituted a special team under the supervision of SP Investigations Rana Shahid. The police team kept an eye on the movement of the close relatives and initially arrested the main culprit Abdul Nazeer, who was cousin of captive's grandfather. On his identification police apprehended another criminal Adil Hameed from Muslim Town, who handed over the child to the their companions Mubarik Khan and Musa allies Ramzan. Police caught Mubarik by tracing cellular phone calls but Musa was succeeded in fleeing by leaving behind Hamza at Village Chakian near Sargodha. In second case a jeweler Abdul Qavi was kidnapped near GPO on 29 June. The kidnappers demanded ransom from his son who contacted Cantt Police Station. The CPO told the media that the police have reached the culprits but the relatives of the traders forbade them to do any action and paid the amount of ransom.
