Mehfil-e-Milad at women college

RAWALPINDI - To pay homage to The savior of humanity and to further glorify the spirituality of the holy month of Ramazan, the annual Mehfil-e-Milad was held at FG Post-graduate College for Women, Kasmir Road, here on Thursday. Mrs Brigadier Raheel Ashraf was the chief guest on the occasion while college Principal Ms Shaista Zaid and other faculty members were also present on the occasion. Mehfil-e-Milad was started with recitation from the Holy Quran by Afshan Shaheen while Hamd was presented Zainab Bint-e-Shaheen. Misbah Khamun, Nabeela Nazia, Fakhr-un-Nisa, Ayesha Nazia, Sumera Talib, Zara, Iram, Anum, Tayaba, Fareeha, Eisha and Shehla presented Naat with utmost devotion and reverence that moved the hearts of the listeners. The chief guest, principal and students paid a rich tribute to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) by highlighting different facets of his life and personality. Misbah Khanum spoke on the topic of The private and public life of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) whereas Maham Saeed threw light on The life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Nayab Altaf expressed her views on The place of blind people in an Islamic society. Conforming to the solemnity of the occasion, Darood-e-Pak was presented with religious zeal and fervour. Zainab Bint-e-Shaheen offered very touching and poignant Dua at the end. The students were awarded with certificates for their zealous participation in this ceremony by the chief guest and college principal.
