The Senate Business Advisory Committee comprising heads of parliamentary parties represented in the Senate met at the Parliament House on Friday morning under the Chairmanship of the Chairman Senate, Mohammed Mian Soomro to discuss the modalities of the 49th Senate Session beginning today. It was attended, among others, by Senator Mian Raza Rabbani, leader of the house in the Senate and minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination, and Senators Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Abdur Rahim Mandokhail, Justice (R) Abdul Razak Thahim, Dr.Abdul Malik, Anisa Zeb Tahirkhaili, Rukhsana Zuberi, Haji Muhammad Adeel, Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim Khan besides Secretary Senate, Raja Muhammad Amin. The meeting strongly deplored the recent terrorist incidents in Peshawar and Swat, which claimed many precious lives and offered heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. The leader of the house in the Senate, Mian Raza Rabbani said that if the honorable members agree, we could take up debate on national security on Monday. It was also agreed, during the meeting, to give chance to the remaining 15 speakers in connection with discussion on the Presidential address to the Parliament.
