4 cops amont 8 injured in Rawalpindi blast

Four police officials besides four civilian injured in a roadside bomb blast on late Thursday night in Baraf Khana Chowk area of Dhok Syeddan, Misriyal Road. According to details, officials of Westridge Police were on regular patrolling duty in a car RIU-282, Corolla in Baraf Khana Chowk area, Misriyal Road when their vehicle struck with a roadside bomb, which went off with a bang. Four police officials in the car were injured along with four civilians. Injured were rushed to District Headquarter Hospital, where the condition of three police officials and a civilian is said to be critical. Local people rushed the injured to hospitals as rescue teams, ambulances and police officials reached the spot after 40 minutes of the blast. The blast occurred in an area, which is just one kilometre away from General Headquarters of Pakistan Army, and have many defence installations.
