ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Ex-servicemen Association (PESA) on Wednesday, while clarifying its earlier statement given the other day, said that its demand of resignation of prime minister and dissolution of assemblies is within the constitution.
A statement released by the PESA said that in continuation of its press release issued on 19 August, it is clarified that all recommendations are to be followed strictly within the confines of Constitution and it believed in its supremacy. "The PESA has been struggling for supremacy of the Constitution and will never support any type of extra constitutional measures," the statement said. "If at all needed in the best interests of the nation then appropriate amendments may be made by parliament as per the prescribed procedure," it added.
