Sharif brothers' eligibility case hearing adjourned till Tuesday

The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing of Sharif brothers' eligibility case till Tuesday. During the hearing, the situation got tense when Supreme Court apex bench member, Justice Sheikh Hakim and the lawyer of seconder of Nawaz Sharif, A. K. Dogar exchanged hot words. According to details, SC three-member bench headed by Justice Mosa K. Leghari commenced hearing of the case on Thursday. The bench asked A. K. Dogar to complete his arguments by 11 am today. A. K. Dogar, objecting to the point, said that it was a highly important matter. On this, Justice Sheikh Hakim told Dogar that he (Dogar) was trying to sow differences between members of the bench and that the bench would hear him no longer after 11 am today. Justice Hakim expressed his displeasure over Dogar's remarks in which he termed judges as dishonest, partial and incapable. A K Dogar, in his reply, said that Justice Hakim's observation is not right. Dogar said he could leave the court if the august bench did not want to hear him. To this point, Justice Hakim said he (Dogar) was not justified in what he said and that the bench expressed dissatisfaction over his remarks. After the hearing, Advocate Akram Sheikh, appearing on behalf of the proposer and seconder of Nawaz Sharif lauded the role of media and said it acted very responsibly after March 9.
