ISLAMABAD - A local court Friday granted bail to Shamim Kayani, who claims to be ex-wife of Senator Azam Hoti and had attempted self-immolation in front of the Islamabad IGP office on Thursday.
Judicial Magistrate Naveed Khan accepted her bail after arrest plea in a case registered against her for attempting suicide. Kohsar police produced her before the magistrate but the counsel representing the accused moved her bail after arrest. Acceding his application, the judge granted her bail and directed the police to release Kayani.  It is pertinent to mention here that Shamim had attempted suicide in front of the office of Islamabad IGP on Thursday but police officials foiled her attempt.
