PTV to hold special transmission on Quaid's birthday

ISLAMABAD (APP) Pakistan Television (PTV) would hold a special transmission to commemorate the 132nd birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on December 25. The special transmission would start with the change of guard at Quaid's Mausoleum followed by a special programme named Rahbar-e-Taraqi-o-Kamal. During the live telethon transmission, youth quiz and special shows, dramas and national songs would be telecast to highlight the characteristics and different facets of life of Father of the Nation. According to PTV here Monday, its Islamabad centre has specially prepared "Mezban Pakistan" and live show "Rise and Shine" which would be telecast from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The other PTV centres have also prepared programmes in connection with the birth anniversary which would be telecast throughout the day on December 25. PTV Lahore Centre's 25-minute talk show entitled "Quaid-e-Azam and Asre Haazar" would be telecast at 12 noon, Karachi Centre's 50-minute programme "Qauid-e-Azam Quiz" at 12.30 p.m. and drama entitled "Gham-e-Rozgar Ke Din," recorded by Quetta Centre, would be telecast at 1.45 p.m. In addition to above mentioned programmes, PTV Islamabad has scheduled to telecast all Pakistan Mushaira named Nazar-e-Quaid at 3 p.m. Hosted Dr. Khursheed Rizvi, the Mushaira would be participated by renowned poets including Iftikhar Arif, Tauseef Tabassum, Shahzad Ahmad, Shabnam Shakeel, Hassan Akbar Kamal, Sajjad Babar and others. Similarly, PTV's Peshawar Centre has prepared a special programme of children named "Quaid Tujhe Salaam" which would be telecast at 4.10 p.m. Milli naghme and long duration show would also be telecast to commemorate the day in a befitting manner.
