Gas shortage in G-8,9 persists





ISLAMABAD  - Low pressure and shortage of gas continues to increase the problems of residents of various sectors particularly G-8 and G-9 of capital. Most areas of the federal capital especially the “G” series of sectors are facing gas load shedding.
 and getting low pressure during most part of the day due to which citizens have been facing problems to carry out household tasks.
Fazia Rasheed a resident of G-8/4 said the gas pressure is extremely low in her area,adding that citizens were forced to use LPG gas other alternate methods for preparing of food. “Gas is not available throughout the day and we are unable even to cook the food”, said Summaya Janjua,talking to APP,a resident of the area adding that their kids were forced to take ready made breakfasts with them to their schools and after reaching back they again face the same problem for the lunch”.          
“We are getting extremely low pressure of gas during day time for last two months. The situation further aggravate day in day out,” said Ali Murtaza, a resident of G-9/1. Residents further blamed that the elite class residential sectors are getting gas supply on regular intervals but the middle class sectors I and G are facing gas shortage that is unjust and unfair. The citizens have demanded the authorities concerned to take immediate steps for regularizing the gas supply to their areas.
