ISLAMABAD - The judicial commission mandated to trace missing persons has completed its report and most likely to submit it to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, in a couple of days.
“The Judicial Commission, headed by Justice (r) Javed Iqbal, has completed its report with fixing responsibility some days before is now all set to submit it to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif most likely this week,” said a well-placed source while talking to The Nation on Monday. Justice (R) Javed Iqbal was appointed as head of the commission, constituted to recover missing persons, in September 2011, which after spending around two years have completed its report.
The sources said that the commission has sought time from Prime Minister to submit the report last week but due to busy schedule it might get time in this week for this purpose.
They said that the report has mentioned all the collected information in the report about missing persons and the responsibility has also been fixed at some stages. Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal had been appointed chairman of the judicial commission mandated to trace missing persons.
Iqbal, who retired from the Supreme Court in July, was hearing the missing persons’ case while in service. He was also performing a responsibility to head the commission on Abbottabad operation, which report has recently been leaked by foreign media.
