Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has reiterated that all possible steps would be taken to ensure and strengthen Pakistan's defense and security. He expressed these views while talking to Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Gen Tariq Majid who called on him at the PM house on Wednesday. According to sources matters related to national security, operation preparations of the armed forces and professional matters were discussed in length. The regional situation was also discussed. Prime Minister vowed that Pakistan would take all possible steps to ensure the defense and security of the country and the govt would provide all resources to the armed forces. He also expressed his satisfaction over the measures taken for the safety and protection of the country's nukes and said that Pakistan is a responsible and peaceful nuclear power and its nukes are completely safe under a comprehensive command and control. He assured Gen Tariq Majid that all govt would ensure timely monetary and resources availability for enhancing the professional capabilities of the armed forces.
