Hague hails Obama for troop withdrawal announcement

British Foreign Minister William Hague on Thursday appreciated the US President Barrack Obamas announcement regarding the troop drawdown in Afghanistan. He said the UK had concerns over the killing of journalist Saleem Shahzad and use of violence against journalists. I discussed the issue with the Pakistani authorities, he added. Speaking at a joint press conference with State Minister for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar after a meeting, he said that Pakistan rendered great sacrifices in fighting against terrorists. He added that he discussed with Pakistani leadership terrorism related issue. Hague noted that the UK was playing its role for the excess of Pakistani products to the European Unions markets.
