The nation is celebrating 70th Pakistan Day today with traditional zeal and enthusiasm. The Day begun with 22-gun salute at the Federal Capital while 21-gun salute at all the four Provincial Capitals to mark the day. The Pakistanis hold special prayers for the solidarity and integrity of the country, while national holiday has been announced. President Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani in their separate messages vowed to protect the country which had been achieved after a great many sacrifices, and added that all-out efforts would be launched to put country on the path of prosperity and progress.
