IHC to daily hear petitions on CNG

ISLAMABAD - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday decided to conduct day-to-day hearing of petitions related to the supply of natural gas to the CNG stations of Potohar region.
A single bench of IHC comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui resumed the hearing but Khwaja Farooq the counsel for federation and Qamar Afzal advocate the lawyer of owners of CNG stations did not appear before the court.
However, their junior lawyers appeared before the court but the judge remarked that proceedings could not be held in the absence of senior lawyers.
Later, the court deferred the hearing till January 27 for further proceedings and ordered that the court would conduct day-to-day hearing of the petitions from the next hearing.
