All the four provinces have agreed in principle to annul the current local bodies system, terming it a gift from the dictator. The summary to annul the system would soon be forwarded to the President for final decision, Minister of State for Law and Justice Afzal Sindhu told the media persons after chairing a high-level meeting held here Friday. All the four provincial ministers for local bodies and other officials attended the meeting which deliberated the future of the system. Sindhu told the journalists that all the four provinces after holding extensive debate on the matter have agreed to repeal the system, as it failed to bring its desired objectives and was a remaining of dictatorial rule. He also declared the ongoing system opposite to provincial autonomy.
