Public schools performance displeases MPA

RAWALPINDI – An annual prize distribution ceremony was held at a private school here on Saturday. On the occasion, PML-N MPA Raja Shaukat Aziz Bhatti was the chief guest while school Principal Ms Iram Zahid, Zahid Ahmed Khan, other notables of the area including Sabtain Shah, Nadeem Kiyani, Asad Chaudhry, Zahid Shah and parents of the students were also present. The ceremony started with recitation from the Holy Quran and Na’at Sharif. It was followed by Principal Ms Iram Zahid’s address in which she highlighted achievements of the school in the last academic year. From excelling in the sports events and co-curricular activities, to outstanding results in the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi, from working for the community by fundraising for unprivileged students, to debate competitions, sport day and an inspiring open day, it was an eventful year.  
The chief guest PML-N MPA Raja Shaukat Aziz Bhatti, while addressing the ceremony, said that he was greatly inspired by the SRHS. He said that it was very important that efforts of teachers were acknowledged and appreciated to keep their spirits high.
Expressing his displeasure over the bad performance of government run schools in Jalti, Shaukat said that Punjab government could not achieve the desired results from the schools despite providing the administrations with all facilities. He said that he was very happy seeing the passion and good result of the little school like SRHS which also lacked basic facilities.
Later, trophies and certificates were awarded to students who had secured top three positions in their classes. Special certificates were also given to the teaching staff for their hard work and dedication. The chief guest also awarded cash prizes to the tiny girls students, who were comparing the function.
