PPP leader Syed Khurshid Shah says the party will cooperate with the PML-N government on all issues of national interest and benefit of the people.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Saturday afternoon‚ he said the PPP will also cooperate in constitutional amendments if these were motivated by democratic spirit and protection of rights of the people and provinces.
He said the country needs peace and his party will extend cooperation in fighting terrorism.
Syed Khurshid Shah said democracy will strengthen if the next government completes its 5-year mandated term.
Earlier, Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarians has nominated Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah as its Parliamentary leader in the National Assembly.
His nomination was announced at party meeting in Karachi.
