ISLAMABAD - Private schools will observe annual summer break from the second week of June till first week of August, according to various representative associations of private schools and colleges.
Malik Abrar Hussain, president of All Pakistan Private Schools and Colleges Association, said over 29,000 schools and colleges across the country will close in the second week of June and open in the first week of August. He said the dates have not been announced due to ongoing first term examinations, non-availability of books and collection of fee from students. The time period of classes will be reduced if the weather gets hot in June, he added. Zofran Ilahi, the spokesperson of Private Schools Associations Islamabad, also said the private schools functioning in urban area of the capital will close from June 10 to August 10.
