Businessmen to be taken on board for economic planning: Tarin

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance, Shaukat Tarin Saturday said the government will take businessmen on board in chalking out plans for bringing stability in the country's economy. Addressing the businessmen here at Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) here, he said the poor has suffered the most in the present economic crisis and now it is time to ensure provision of employment and insurance for them. The planning commission has turned into a body which instead of undertaking economic planning only approves projects, Shaukat Tarin observed. "It is unfortunate that after every six to seven years our economy falls into the grip of crisis," he pointed out, citing lack of economic planning as a major reason responsible for the same.
