With the collusion of some officials of Cantt Board Rawalpindi, the installation of private tube wells has been disclosed in Naseerabad and adjoining areas of Cantonment. The public and social circles of the area have alleged that some influential people have sunk private tube wells and water is being provided to citizens through bowsers and causing loss of Rs. 3.7 million monthly to the Cantt Board. The people underlined that nearly 300 house each use 6 bowsers monthly and the price of one bowser has been fixed as Rs. 700, therefore, the owners of Private Tankers received Rs. 1.260 million monthly. They alleged that water is also being supplied through pipelines to residents.
