RAWALPINDI - The students have done splendid work using diverse mediums and their work is a portrayal of their creativity and the dedication of their teachers. Vice-chancellor of Faitma Jinnah Women University (FJWU) Professor Dr Saeeda Asadullah Khan expressed these views while appreciating the efforts of the students at the event of "Semester End Show" a biannual activity, conducted at the end of every semester to appreciate the immense talent and creativity of the Fine Arts students. Professor Dr Saeeda Asadullah Khan said that the ideas and innovation used in these art pieces is fabulous. The vice-chancellor inaugurated the exhibition at 12:00 noon in the Fine Arts Department here on Wednesday. The exhibition was a largest and finest collection of the students' work, which shows their creative inspiration and achievements during the semester. The work exhibited in the display is a fabulous combination of creativity and magnificence. More than 500 art pieces of 193 students of Masters of Fine Arts Department (MFA) and Bachelors of Fine Arts Department (BFA) have been displayed in the exhibition. Students have used various mediums and different disciplines like textile, graphic designing, drawing, miniature, print making, ceramics, sculpture, calligraphy, oil painting, pottery painting and photography. The art pieces exhibited were a magnificent showcase of the immense talent and unique flair of the students. The artwork exhibited in the display was supervised by Dr Tabassum Shaheen, Chairperson, Department of Fine Arts, FJWU, Rasheed Butt, Naseem Mughal, Ms. Baroosh Ahsan, Ms Lubna Khatoon, Ms Rohma Noor-e-Haram, Zaira Ahmad, Aleem Dad Khan, Imran-ullah-Hunzai, Mrs. Hassan Fatima, Ms. Saeeda Khanam, Ms. Ambreen Afzal, Ms. Raheela Mushtaq, Shaheed Waheed, and Zarar Babri. The beautiful artwork done by the young artists highlights the contributions made by their teachers and the commitment of Fatima Jinnah Women University towards its students through providing them an ideal milieu suitable to nourish their abilities and artistic power. A number of faculty and students visited the display to applaud the efforts of the students. The three-day long exhibition will end on June 27.
