National security policy soon, says Nisar


ISLAMABAD - Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali while terming criticism on the newly elected government regarding delay in formulation of National Security Policy as unnecessary, said on Friday that policy would be announced after taking all the stakeholders on board.
While talking to media persons outside the Parliament House after his meeting with the Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, he also hoped that law and order situation in Karachi would improve in the next coming days.
The minister talking about the National Security Policy said that deliberations were under way to give it a final shape and they were progressing regarding consolations with the stakeholders in this connection.
“Not more than one and half month nave passed since the newly elected government sworn in but we are being criticised for delay in the formulation of security policy,” he said, adding that no one was questioning from those who did not form any anti-terrorism policy for 12 years.
About the Karachi situation, Nisar said that his visit to Karachi was successful. He said every kind of cooperation would be extended to the Sindh government in connection with law and order situation and stressed that the things would improve there very soon. He said that the PML-N led government is committed to strengthen democratic values in the country.
