ISLAMABAD - Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid Saturday said that statement about drone attacks which was linked with Prime Minister had already been rejected and Imran Khan should have to avoid doing politics on this issue.
In a statement, the minister said that Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan should avoid baseless allegation on the issue, adding that government had a clear stance on drone attacks.
He said that Prime Minister, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had raised the issue of drone attacks in United Nation's General Assembly and also stressed American leadership for halting attacks in tribal areas of Pakistan as it was violation of country's sovereignty and International laws. National interest was the top priority of the government, he added.
Rashid said that it was good sign that UN's Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon and International community had condemned drone attacks.
