The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Monday challenged Sindh Local Government Act 2013 in the court.
Speaking to media outside the court, the MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar said Sindh Local Government Act 2013 contradicts the constitution.
He said MQM has prayed in the court to declare this act void or order to amend some articles of it. He said this act is unconstitutional.
Dr Farooq Sattar said the control of education and transport should be given to local governments.
Dr Farooq Sattar further said the MQM does not want delay in the local bodies elections at any cost.
