Task force set up to strengthen Pak-China economic cooperation: PM

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that a high level task force has been set up to explore avenues to enhance economic cooperation with China.
He was talking to Chinese Ambassador Sun Weidong in Islamabad Saturday.
The Prime Minister said that friendship with China is and will remain the corner stone of Pakistan's foreign policy and it has been a factor of peace and stability in the region.
He conveyed his deepest condolences to the Chinese government‚ Chinese people and the effected families of the victims recently shot dead in Gilgit. He reaffirmed that perpetrators would be brought to justice.
The Prime Minister said that he was looking forward to his visit to China in the first week of next month and the visit would help further strengthen the bilateral ties.
The Prime Minister said that Gwadar Port Project is the hallmark of Pak-China strategic partnership and it will bring economic dividends for both Pakistan and China.
The Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction that both the countries' shared vision of establishment of Long Term Economic Corridor is moving forward.
Mian Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan is committed to take Pakistan's relations with China to an even higher level and it greatly values China's economic support and cooperation.
