Pictures reflect govt's 'achievements'

ISLAMABAD (APP) - The reflection of 2-year performance of the democratic setup was captured in a collection of 200 photographs displayed here at the National Art Gallery. The exhibition was open for public till March 29 providing the glimpses of governments achievements for the masses with the vision of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and the Charter of Democracy. The event was organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting entitled Rebuilding Democratic Pakistan on two-years successful completion of the democratic government that came into power following the unprecedented sacrifices of the PPP. The displayed pictures not only portrayed the images of PPP and all the political parties were given representation to show the true essence of the democratic set-up. The exhibition offers a diverse variety of photographs, posters, pictures and graphics to represent a comparison from the authoritarian rule to democracy in Pakistan and subsequent steps of the government to take Pakistan forward on the path to progress, peace and pluralism. Various images have been taken from memorable events to mark two years of the peoples government and its accomplishments. Visual art has a direct impact on peoples opinion and the selection of this medium was a remarkable decision by the organisers to show the achievements in an innovative way, said a visitor at National Art Gallery. This journey of historic images has been carefully selected from Pakistans fascinating national history starting with the return of BB Shaheed.
