Girl dies at BBH ‘mysteriously’





RAWALPINDI - A 21-year-old girl died in some ‘mysterious circumstances’ at Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) on Tuesday.
According to SP Potohar Division, Syed Haseeb Shah, a young girl Anam Shehzadi, aged 21, resident of Sadiqabad, had to Poonch House, Saddar, to meet one of her friends, however, she got itll there due to some unknown reason. On this, her friend took her to the Benazir Bhutto Hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.
In the meanwhile, the hospital doctors informed the Cantt Police Station officials, who approached the friend of Anam and took the dead body into their custody.
Later, the police moved the dead body to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) for autopsy.
When contacted, Station House Officer (SHO), PS Cannt, Sheikh Waqar Nisar, said that the police would take necessary action only after the issuance of the postpartum report.
However, till the filing of the report, the doctors were busy conducting autopsy of the deceased.
It is to be mentioned here that the city is witnessing a sharp increase in crimes including mobile snatching, drugs business, which has now become a pain in the neck for the city’s police bosses.
