Transporters citing the recent increase in POL prices, have increased inter-province fares by 30 percent. According to transporters union sources, the decision came in response to the record raise in POL prices on Saturday. The transporters confirmed that inter-province fares have been increased by 30% in different cities of the province. POL prices hike has fallen upon masses like a fuel bomb as the fares from Hyderabad to interior areas, upper Sindh and Karachi have been inflated to record high. Transporters said that they suffered huge financial losses due to POL prices which go up every month. Meanwhile, both transporters and passengers appealed to the government to revisit its decision and cut prices of petroleum products to facilitate the masses.
