KARACHI - A builder and member of underworld, Salman Hyder, 40, was found dead from his car on late Friday night in Ferozeabad police precincts. He was gunned down by his business partner, revealed by the police official. He was said to be close associate of underworld don, Shoaib Khan. He used to work in a construction company and engaged with constructing a project known as Foundation Blessing in Gulistan-e-Johar area, SP Jamshed Town Javed Akbar Riaz told the media representatives. Due to some business matter, he had dispute with his partners and in this regard he went to Gulistan-e-Johar police station on October 24 and complaint that his partners were threatening him. While quoting the statements of the deceased wife Durbana, the police official said that he dropped her at around 8pm at University Road at her parents home and then left for Tariq Road saying that he had scheduled a meeting with his partners to whom he had a clash. His wife also disclosed that, after few hours, she received a phone call from her husband's cell phone which was made by Yousuf, an associate and a business partner of deceased, that Hyder has been shot and currently in the private hospital and called her at the said hospital. Security guards of the hospital said that they saw Yousuf escaping from the hospital. The police official also said that when his family reached the hospital they found his body but Hyder's friend was not there. His vehicle was earlier missing but later found from the outside the hospital with two empty shells of the TT pistol, while his mobile phone was also missing. He was shot twice with TT pistol, said SP, adding that he was probably shot inside his car. However, his body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for legal formalities. Hyder partners are said to be Yousuf, Mustaqees Farooqui, Naveed Jamil, Khurram Qazi, Khurram Pathan and others, said the SP. Police registered an FIR (1142/08) on behalf of his wife against the said partners and has started investigation, especially the video recording of the hospital to check the man who brought him to the hospital. Hyder was the resident of Bukhari Commercial, Phase 6, DHA. It is believed that he was also involved in a number of cases and sent to jail many times and later released on bail but still the investigation is in progress. Police is gathering his criminal record, the SP said.
