Activists caravans make a beeline on Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's death anniversary

All appears set for observing the 30th death anniversary of former Prime Minister and founder-chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on Saturday, while the caravans of the activists have already made a beeline arriving at Garhi Khudabukhsh here. Interior minister has directed for making stringent security arrangements, where some 6000 policemen and officers would be posted. PPP Central Committee meeting would be held at Naudero, which would be mulling over aligning with N-League in Punjab and offering N-League joining federal government. The ceremony will begin Saturday morning with Quran Khawani and later throughout the day the workers and leaders would be visiting the mausoleum for paying their respects and praying for the soul. Following CEC and Federal Council meetings at Naudero, the main rally of death anniversary will be held at the same place, which will be addressed by the party Co-Chairman, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister, Yusuf Raza Gilani and other leaders. Six helipads have been constructed at Garhi Khudabukhsh and Naudero for the arrival of President Zardar and other dignitaries, while six special trains have been arranged for the general public coming from Karachi, Peshawar, Lahore and Quetta. On the other hand, Peoples Party (Shaheed Bhutto) has also made arrangements for observing the 30th Death Anniversary of Shaheed Zulfiquar Ali Bhutto. The party will hold the main public meeting at 9.00 A.M. morning at Garhi Khudabukhsh on April 4. A stage measuring 50x60 feet has been erected. PPP (Shaheed Bhutto) chairperson, Ghinwa Bhutto and other central leaders will address the meeting. Fatima Bhutto and Zulfiquar (junior) will especially attend the public meeting.
