The fresh spree of bloodshed in Karachi goes on, with three policemen, an ASI among them, gunned down early Thursday morning.
Officials said the three policemen, identified as ASI Dhani Bux, head constable Ramzan and constable Nisar, were performing their duties in PIB colony when unknown attackers targeted them.

He said that the cops were critically injured and were rushed to Jinnah hospital but could not survive, adding that the assailants also snatched weapons of the policemen after shooting them down.
The deceased were from Ferozabad police station.
The attackers easily managed to flee from the scene despite enhance patrolling and snap checking at different spots since a senior MQM worker was assassinated in the same area on March 27, unleashing violence in the city.
Thursday’s incident sowed fright and panic in PIB colony as markets and other business activates were closed down.
Police and government officials say over 50 people have lost their lives in violence over the last 10 days, and arsonists had set more than 50 vehicles alight.
The latest spree of violence started after renewed ethnic and political tensions between the Mutihida Qaumi Movement (MQM), and Awami National Party (ANP). Both the parties are PPP government’s ally.
The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan said 1,715 people were killed in sudden flare-ups of violence in the city last year.
