LDA office Karachi set on fire

KARACHI  - The office of Lyari Development Authority was burnt into ashes under mysterious circumstances on Monday.
The office is situated on the first floor opposite to the Aziz Bhatti police station in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area.
The fire broke out at around 11:30 a.m. LDA officials said unidentified miscreants attacked the office and set the office furniture on fire. They also beat the staff in the office. The official record was also burnt.
When police reached the site, the office had already been gutted by fire. Police officials claimed they were informed too late. DSP Nasir Lodhi said, “We do not believe that someone attacked the office because no one has courage to do it in the presence of a number of people and police guards at the building.” It seemed they themselves burnt the office. Further investigation was underway.
