Five shot dead in Karachi

KARACHI- Five people were killed while three others got injured in separate incidents in the city today.


A man, Sajjad, 32, resident of Bhutto Colony, was seriously injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire on him near Khyber Chowk in Tauhidi Mohalla, Ittehad Town. He was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries during treatment.


Another man, Yousuf, 55, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen near Garden Signal in Garden area. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for legal formalities.


Ali, 25, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen near Jinnah Square in Malir. The body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for an autopsy.


In another incident, Fazal Hussain Zaidi, 50, son of Muneer Hussain Zaidi, resident of Rizvia Society, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at his residential area. The body was shifted to ASH for postmortem examination.


Raheel, 30, son of Mumtaz, resident of Liquatabad, was shot dead near Sindhi Hotel in Liaquatabad.


In addition to that, three people got injured in a shootout by unidentified gunmen near Crown Cinema at Mauripur Road.
