Educationist Prof Anita Ghulam passes away

KARACHI - Renowned educationist Professor Anita Ghulam Ali passed away on Friday.
The former education minister was ill for the last few weeks. She was admitted in a private hospital where she died in the wee hours of Friday.
Her services in the field of education were highly appreciated across the country.
She also served as the education minister of Sindh during the military rule of Musharraf.
Professor Anita served as the chief executive of Sindh Education Foundation which played a key role in opening the closed schools in the province. Her contribution in the education sector was enormous.
She served the Sindh till her last breath as a chairperson of Sindh Education Foundation. She struggled to improve the standard of education in Sindh.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has expressed grief and deep sorrow over the demise of renowned academician and researcher Anita Ghulam Ali. He eulogised her valuable services especially in the field of education sector.
The chief minister said she was an asset of the Sindh. Her services for standard education and capacity building of teachers would not be forgotten.
Expressing sympathies to her relatives and successors, the CM prayed for her departed soul that may God rest her in eternal peace.
