PML-F welcomes SC’s verdict for delimitation

KARACHI - The Pakistan Muslim League Functional (PML-F) has welcomed the Supreme Court directives for delimitation of new constituencies and demanded to compile new voter lists in the light of the verdict of the court on immediate basis.
Shama Munshi, PML-F’s Media Coordinator Ladies Wing in her statement issued here on Saturday said that delimitation of electoral constituencies in light of Supreme Court’s directives will help out in conducting free and fair elections in the province.
She opined that following the Supreme Court’s verdict, the people who restrain themselves in casting their vote due to the apprehension of manipulated and engineered election result will enthusiastically turn up to use their right of vote.  However, she said that delimitations should be done in the whole province beside Karachi so that nobody could turn biased against the verdict, adding that there are many electoral constituencies where delimitations is needed.
PML-F leader Shama Munshi while rejecting Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Khuhro’s claim that delimitation was not possible without conducting census said that there was a provision in the law to hold delimitation even without census.
