No one will be allowed to derail democracy : President

President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the government and parliament will complete five-year tenure and no one will be allowed to derail the democratic system.
He was talking to Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf at the Bilawal House here on Wednesday.
According to the Presidential Spokesperson, former prime minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, federal ministers Mian Manzoor Wattoo, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Syed Khursheed Shah, Senator Jahangir Badr and Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were also present on the occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed the overall security situation of the country particularly the Tahirul Qadri’s January 14 long march.
The other agenda of the meeting including the induction of caretaker set-up and PPP relations with its coalition partners was reviewed in detail.
The PPP leadership decided that the government would leave no stone unturned to fulfill its responsibilities regarding the law and order situation and the security of red-zone would be ensured at any cost.
They said that the forthcoming elections would be held on time and refuted all reports of delay in election while the caretaker set-up would be formed within the domain of the constitution.
It was decided that PPP would be made more activate and effective and to take appropriate initiatives for the upcoming general election.
Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf briefed the President regarding his recent meetings with PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan and other political leaders of the country.
Earlier, President Asif Ali Zardari chaired the meeting of the PPP core committee in which issues related to long march, security situation and upcoming elections were discussed.
