Coastguards seize 1,500 foreign liquor bottles

 KARACHI - The Pakistan Coastguards on Tuesday seized 1,500 bottles of foreign liquor in Windar area of Balochistan. According to a statement, the PCG was tipped off about a truck carrying liquor that was tried to be flagged down at Naka Khari checkpost for snap checking during the night. Its driver accelerated. However, he was chased down. He abandoned the vehicle and fled to a nearby village.
The PCG team recovered 1,500 bottles of foreign liquor hidden beneath bananas loaded in the vehicle. The value of the recovered liquor is about Rs9 million. Further probe is in progress.
