Marvi Memon booked for leading NPIW employees' demo

Police has booked PML-Q Information Secretary Marvi Memon for leading a protest demonstration against provincial governments obstinacy regarding contractual employees of the National Programme for Implementation of Watercourses (NPIW) in Karachi today. The NPIW contractual employees have been staging a sit-in outside Karachi Press Club by the of for the last seven days for job regularization. An FIR has been filed against Marvi in Police Station Artillery Ground, which contained riots, and anti-peace sections against her, however arrest has not been made so far. Referring to the FIR, Marvi, while talking to Dunya News, said, The government is employing such tactics because it is fearful of our sit-in, however, she vowed, I will not call off the sit-in unless the temporary employees get job regularization". She called upon the PML-Q members to raise the said issue in the National Assembly session to be held today.
