Better education in sports can create better players

KARACHI  - Like in other walks of life, better education among the national and international sports-persons can help in producing better players for the future.
This was the crux of a seminar held at Government College for Women, Sharea Liaquat held on Thursday. The seminar was titled “Sports Awarness Programme” (SAP). Speaking on the occasion College Principal Rubina Soomro said that besides sports skill, technique and fitness, players should focus on a better education. SAP Chief Operating Officer Qudsia Raja said match fixing and betting and illegal use of performance-enhancing drugs have tarnished the image of players and officials.              
She said better physical education in this regard can play a vital role in overall improvement of sports and players.
Athletics Fitness School Founder Muhammad Talib and SAP Coordinator also spoke on the occasion. The seminar was largely attended by players, sports teachers and physical instructors.
