As holy month of Ramzan is fast approaching in the country, Prices of more than 25 daily commodities including sugar, rice, pulses, chicken, beef, mutton prices have immensely increased by 20% to 20%. Daily commodities like sugar, rice, pulses, chicken, beef, mutton, vegetables and fruit prices have shot up in local markets. The price of sugar has been increased most with 53 to 55 rupees per Kilo in retail market. Federal Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin said sugar is available according to demand and hoarders creating artificial shortage. This should be controlled at provincial level, he added. The people are demanding from government to take immediate notice and decrease prices of daily commodities especially sugar, rice, pulses, chicken, beef, mutton and vegetables.
