JI for Judicial probe into ZAB case

KARACHI - Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan Secretary General Liaquat Baloch has said government should announce a new Judicial Commission (JC) to probe 'judicial murder of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. He said the new Commission should also investigate assassinations of Benazir Bhutto and her two brothers. Addressing a Press Conference on Monday at Idara-e-Noorul Haq, Baloch said that presently PPP is at the helm of affairs in Federal and provincial governments and that the party can probe all the cases hitherto termed 'dubious by the ruling party. He said the delay in probing all these case was mysterious and raising many questions. He said that new Judicial Commission might as well look into the incidents of May 12, 9 April killings during the Musharraf government and Ashura mayhem so that it could reveal the names of person and forces behind all the atrocities. Talking about the current situation of Karachi in which many innocent people have been killed in target-killings, he urged the coalition partners to address al these persistent problems. He said the affected traders of Bolton market must also be compensated. He said that government should respect wishes of Balochistan people because they have rejected the Balochistan Package and situation has worsened as the Balochs wanted to have control of their indigenous resources, provincial autonomy and trial of former dictator Musharraf in Bhugti murder case. Replying to a question Liaquat Baloch said Jamat-e-Islami was trying to highlight the problems of Bolton Market traders and doing efforts to help the traders through its platform but Ashura mayhem was a large-scale catastrophe and no single party including government have resources to extend help to traders. He termed governments announced compensation as a joke with the traders and said that loss of damage was over 100 billion and therefore government should immediately announce at least Rs 50 billion package for affected businessmen.
